Our Swiss Home

The Swiss town of Lenk, in the Semme river valley, in Canton Bern was the home of the Trachsel clan from the 16th Century,  in the 18th Century Jacob and his family migrated to Germany from where two of his sons migrated to Colonial America.

Today there are still a number of Trachsels living in Lenk and may be descendants of the original family which arrived from Zurich circa 1525.
